The majority of weddings I co-ordinate tend to be in marquees, tipis or yurts in a family members garden or field, where there isn’t a dedicated venue manager. Couples that choose this type of wedding realise they are going to need some extra help and are normally inundated with offers from friends and family. As lovely as this is, it does tend to mean they won't enjoy their day as much as they would, if they weren't working their way through a job list! So, that is where I can help, by taking that pressure away and allowing you to enjoy your wedding day with your family and friends, so nobody needs to worry about anything, apart from having fun!
Some of my couples find this type of blank canvas wedding too much to organise so they choose to book a DIY venue, giving a structure to work with and so they can put their own stamp on it. These types of venue will have a venue manager to show you around and help with any questions regarding your booking, but generally speaking they won’t be with you on the day. If they are, it may just be for your ceremony and in the background in case of emergencies. I find all DIY venues offer very different services, so it’s important you check what help your booking includes.

However, having an independent wedding co-ordinator isn’t just for DIY style weddings and events. I have co-ordinated many weddings at venues and hotels which have their own venue co-ordinator, and we have worked together to ensure our couples big day is everything and more! The venue co-ordinator will make sure everything is ready with regards to the venue and I will be there to ensure you are happy and everything is running as we have planned.
